Is Metabolism the Culprit?

Blaming your weight on how slow your metabolism is seems like the easiest way to figure out why you’re still not in the body of your dreams. The real question you should be asking is if metabolism even plays a part in your weight and what can be done to fix it. Yes, metabolism is somewhat linked to your weight. The only thing is that it really isn’t the cause of any excess weight gain. At the end of the day this all goes down to what you are putting in your body and how much physical activity you’re getting.

Let’s slow down a bit and talk about what Metabolism even is. According to MayoClinic, it’s the process by which your body converts what you eat and drink into energy. During this process, the calories you consume is combined with oxygen so that it can be released. This is what the body needs to function the right way. While some people may think that this has to do with how much you’re moving, this is something that also happens when your body is at rest. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to perform the basic functions like breathing. Our circulation could even become compromised.

There are many factors that play a part in your metabolic function that some people don’t even think about. Your age is one of those things. As you get older, the amount of muscles you have tends to decrease and fat increases. This slows down the calorie burning process. Other than that, the energy that your body has stays fairly consistent and doesn’t change very easily. This is why some people may workout and eat less or vice versa. It all depends on how their body reacts to all of these outside factors.

Just because your metabolism is a natural process, it doesn’t always mean it’s what is keeping you from losing weight. Your body has other mechanisms that help you regulate it and meet your individual needs. Any excessive weight gain that you may get can be from a medical condition or your lifestyle. Sadly, weight gain or weight loss is a combination of many things so it’s always hard to pinpoint exactly what is causing all of it. It’s always important to keep track of what can be the factor that is causing this imbalance in your body.

Even though there are so many things that can play a big part in your weight, metabolism DOES have a part in it. For some people it’s harder to lose weight, and it can get frustrating. If you want to see how your metabolism makes a difference we offer a metabolism booster shot that can help speed up this process. This is called the Skinny Shot. It has many vitamins and antioxidants, like B12, that help with increasing metabolism and even detoxifying your body of any toxins that it may have.
